Welcome to a new blog post of tymt!

Today we are going to explain the details of 2 features related to an upcoming update for the tymtLauncher.

  • Staking in the tymtLauncher
  • New wallet integrations

tymtLauncher has features that allow you to create wallets on several blockchain platforms in the app without a custodian.
You can simply hold assets or use these wallets to interact with games that support the asset.
Having your client connected to many blockchain platforms, we are able to utilise other features of these platforms.

Features such as but not limited to:

  • Revenue from Adshares
  • Web3 games on EVM compatible blockchains
  • Staking on the Solar blockchain
  • Staking pools for BSC/ETH assets
  • Exchange one asset for another without leaving the app
  • Use your wallet address or Web3 domain as your in-game username or contact

Staking in the tymtLauncher

With the tymtLauncher you can stake on the Solar (SXP) Blockchain without locking your funds.

The staking feature will be simplified by a one-click button that casts a vote with the network fees on the Solar Blockchain.
We have decided to take this approach to simplify staking for non-crypto users and to support the delegates on Solar Blockchain.

By clicking on this button, you will automatically vote for delegates on the Solar Blockchain and periodically receive rewards in SXP.

Delegates are selected based on a methodology provided by tymt.

The methodology will be publicly available in our GitHub repository and will initially include factors such as publicly sharing and having only 1 forging node on the blockchain.

In the future, the methodology might change and include factors that provide more value to the Solar Blockchain. These factors could be running a testnet node, contributing to the ecosystem in terms of development, marketing or security.

Users that wish not to use our methodology can disable the staking feature within the client and decide on their own which delegates to vote for by importing the mnemonic and using the vote functions in the Solar Desktop Wallet.

New wallet integrations

tymtLauncher currently supports the following blockchains using a 24-word mnemonic.

  • Solar (SXP)
  • Ethereum (ETH)
  • BSC (BNB)
  • Solana (SOL)
  • Polygon (MATIC)

At tymt we are looking to support and add many more blockchains to the platform.

Our strategic decision is to support blockchains that are fully Rosetta compatible.

Rosetta is an open-source specification and set of tools that makes integrating with blockchains simpler, faster, and more reliable.

Rosetta allows us to build an application with faster integration, predictable and easier debugging.

By utilising Rosetta within the tymtLauncher, we are able to support and integrate new wallets in the tymtLauncher without having to update the app.
Supported assets will be dynamically loaded from a public source on Github when starting the tymtLauncher.

This reduces the time and workload for maintaining each asset when compared to traditional integration methods.

The listing procedure for new assets will be as following:

  • Create a PR in the rosetta-assets repository with the checks.
  • Pay for the listing fee in SXP.
  • Assets will be added to the client after merging the PR.

A detailed listing procedure with the listing requirements will be released in the near future.

Thank you for reading our blog post.

We hope that you are excited as much as we are for the next update!
